Our Statement of Belief
At the heart of our faith is a deep reverence for God’s truth, revealed through Scripture and embodied in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The following foundational beliefs:
1. The Nature of God
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and of one essence, distinct yet unified in purpose and being.
2. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, given through the Holy Spirit. It is our foundational guide in all matters of faith, life, and spiritual understanding. We hold the Holy Scriptures as the final guide for principle and practice.
3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for our redemption, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He made a way for all people to experience redemption and restored relationship with God.
4. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It requires repentance, a turning away from sin which leads to new life, freedom, and forgiveness. This gift is offered to all who are willing to receive it.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is active and present today, indwelling all who believe. He convicts of sin, empowers for service, comforts, teaches, and distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church. We affirm that the gifts and workings of the Holy Spirit, including miracles - continue to operate today according to God’s will.
6. Healing and Provision
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Healer. Through His finished work, believers can receive healing - spiritually, physically, and emotionally by faith. We also trust in God as our Provider, faithful to meet the needs of His people. We also believe in the natural laws of healing to assist people in discovering healing of body, soul and spirit. We also believe in the power of the anointed physician. Sirach 38:1-16 shows the importance of using not only God’s Word to heal people, but also, the advice of the physician using natural remedies, because the physician is guided by the hand of God, and therefore, encourage our followers to see doctors, naturopaths and other alternative health practitioners when sick. The church focuses on divine healing and where professional expertise is involved, sends to appropriate health practitioners.
7. Christian Living and Relationship
We believe that following Jesus is not just about belief, but relationship with Him and with others. We are called to reflect God’s love through our actions, attitudes, and the way we treat all people. Our faith comes alive in everyday life through love, service, humility, and compassion.
8. Baptism and New Life
We practice water baptism as an outward expression of inward faith, symbolizing the believer’s death to sin and resurrection into new life in Christ. It is a vital step of submission in the journey of faith.
9. The Great Commission
We are commissioned by Christ to share the good news of the Gospel with all people that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. We do this not out of obligation, but from love, offering hope, truth, and eternal life to all who are open to receive it.
10. Eternal Life
We believe that life continues beyond this one. There is a heaven and a hell, and the choices we make here matter. God invites everyone into eternal life through Jesus - a life that begins now and continues forever in His presence. God desires that none should perish, yet He honours the free will of every individual.
11. The Return of Christ
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who will come again to bring justice, peace and the fullness of God’s kingdom to earth.
12. Unity, Service, and Light
As sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, we are called to unity, mutual service, and love. We believe every person is made in the image of God and deeply loved. As followers of Jesus, we are called to love God and love others - practicing compassion, forgiveness, and unity across all differences.
13. The Journey of Faith
We recognize that faith is a journey. While we are rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus and the authority of Scripture, we honour the process of seeking and growing. We believe that God meets people where they are and gently leads them into deeper truth and relationship.
14. Nature is a Gift from God
We believe in using natures gifts to heal those in need around us. Through community and connection, we foster an environment for families to heal through nature, a gift of God.
